{"id":548,"date":"2018-04-09T20:41:10","date_gmt":"2018-04-10T03:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/extensionweb\/?p=548"},"modified":"2018-04-09T20:41:10","modified_gmt":"2018-04-10T03:41:10","slug":"new-launch-timeline-updated-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/extensionweb\/2018\/04\/09\/new-launch-timeline-updated-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"New launch timeline, updated resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings OSU Extension colleagues!<\/p>\n<p>This week we share an update on the overall project timeline and a few more resources that will be helpful to content teams.<\/p>\n<h3>Project timeline<\/h3>\n<p>Based on input we\u2019ve received from program leaders and content teams&#8211;and on our project team&#8217;s remaining priority tasks&#8211;we have set the week of May 29 as the target &#8220;launch week&#8221; for phase 1 of our new Extension web presence.<\/p>\n<p>This timeline allows approximately seven more weeks for content entry, programming, and design. It also provides about a month for our new content strategist to come onboard, learn, and contribute.<\/p>\n<p>For now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Content teams should continue to focus on content entry, consulting with the project team as needed.<\/li>\n<li>The project team will be focusing on the highest-priority design and programming tasks, and on priority content that we manage.<\/li>\n<li>We will consult with content teams who manage program sites that will not &#8220;live&#8221; in the new Extension website at phase 1 launch, to confirm short-term and transition plans for those sites.<\/li>\n<li>After the &#8220;event&#8221; content type is available, we will re-engage with office managers and county leaders to review county office landing pages. We will do this as soon as possible, but at minimum two weeks before launch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Resource updates<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>New FAQ:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/extensionweb\/faq\/#s1a-q1\">What do topics, keywords, county and program tags do when added to a piece of content (e.g. an article)?<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Updated:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1jrQVUXP1hsCNCW8kOouRpTt6sODvaYO7oGN5NTxEXiE\/edit?usp=sharing\">Managing program content<\/a> guide<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quick tips for content entry:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>If we (OSU Extension) created it, use the &#8220;article&#8221; or &#8220;educational document&#8221; content type.<\/li>\n<li>If someone else created it, use the &#8220;online resource&#8221; content type and link to the original.<\/li>\n<li>If it&#8217;s an OSU Extension Catalog publication, please don&#8217;t upload it.
