Through this NSF-wide activity, HDR will generate new knowledge and understanding, and\u00a0accelerate discovery and innovation. The HDR vision is realized through an interrelated set of efforts in:<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\u2022 Foundations of data science;<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u2022 Algorithms and systems for data science;<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u2022 Data-intensive science and engineering;<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u2022 Data cyberinfrastructure; and<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u2022 Education and workforce development.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"\">Each of these efforts is designed to amplify the intrinsically multidisciplinary nature of the emerging field of data\u00a0science.
