{"id":1373,"date":"2013-09-27T09:02:28","date_gmt":"2013-09-27T17:02:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/erlenmeyer\/?p=1373"},"modified":"2013-09-27T09:02:28","modified_gmt":"2013-09-27T17:02:28","slug":"pfizer-air-diversity-fellowship-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/erlenmeyer\/2013\/09\/27\/pfizer-air-diversity-fellowship-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Pfizer AIR Diversity Fellowship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m writing to let you know we are running our Pfizer Academic-Industrial Relations Diversity fellowship program again, for the 2013\u00a0\u2013 2014\u00a0academic year.\u00a0 The program is essentially the same as last year.\u00a0 As a reminder, we are looking for enthusiastic undergraduates from historically under-represented ethnic groups to participate in this research fellowship program.\u00a0 We are asking for your help in identifying these individuals from your own research group and undergraduate organic classes.\u00a0 The same requirements and qualifications apply.\u00a0 This is a $15K fellowship divided into $7500\/semester.\u00a0 Each semester $6000 is for the student stipend and $1500 may be used for lab and travel\u00a0costs.\u00a0 The student is required to write a report of his\/her progress in January 2014 in order to receive the spring stipend.\u00a0 Also, the student will be invited to present his\/her research at the La Jolla site at the end of the 2014 summer.\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Deadline is October 21, 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The research areas of that we will consider funding include organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, computational chemistry, crystallography and structural\/chemical biology.<\/p>\n<p>Attached is a cover letter describing the program in more detail along with a copy of the application and a flyer to post around the department. Please also feel free to circulate these materials to other interested colleagues\/students.
