The Graduate School invites your program\u2019s participation in a campus-based competition for selection of OSU\u2019s nominee for the\u00a02013-14 WAGS\/UMI Distinguished Master\u2019s Thesis Award<\/b>.<\/p>\n
This award recognizes distinguished scholarly achievement at the master\u2019s level. Nominations will be accepted in any discipline in which the institution offers a master\u2019s degree. A nominee must have earned the master\u2019s degree within the period of July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013.<\/b><\/p>\n
This prestigious regional competition is an important opportunity for OSU to showcase the scholarly excellence of our master\u2019s students to institutions throughout the western region and to celebrate our success. We encourage you to take the time to prepare a nomination.<\/p>\n
OSU ELIGIBLE PROGRAMS:<\/b>\u00a0 Any discipline in which a master\u2019s degree is offered.<\/p>\n
OSU AWARDS AND RECOGNITION:<\/b>\u00a0 The\u00a0Graduate School will provide a cash award of $500 to the student<\/span>\u00a0selected as OSU\u2019s nominee for the Western Association of Graduate Schools\/UMI Distinguished Master\u2019s Thesis Award.\u00a0 In addition,\u00a0the Graduate School will award $500 to the graduate department\/program<\/span>\u00a0that submits the thesis selected as OSU\u2019s nominee for the Western Association of Graduate Schools\/UMI Distinguished Master\u2019s Thesis Award.<\/p>\n PROCEDURES:<\/b>\u00a0 Each graduate program may submit\u00a0only one nomination<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/b>for consideration. Graduate programs must provide\u00a0in one electronic PDF file items b, c, d\u00a0<\/b>as reflected in the attached WAGS\/UMI guidelines.
