I’m pleased to announce the formation of the Office of International Services (OIS) within the Division of International Programs. OIS is a strategic reorganization of the units formerly known as International Student Advising and Services (ISAS) and International Scholar and Faculty Services (ISFS). This restructuring allows us to better serve our international population on campus and beyond.
We’ve hired Grace Atebe to oversee the newly-formed OIS, effective September 19. Grace comes to us from West Virginia University, where she served as Assistant Director of Student Support and Development in the Office of International Students. Grace holds an Ed.D. from WVU and an MBA from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. I look forward to Grace’s leadership, experience, and knowledge in this role as we move forward.
OIS will also have two familiar faces serving as assistant directors: Rachael Weber and Jackie Bangs. Rachael’s responsibilities are primarily focused on international student immigration compliance, while Jackie is focused on working closely with international faculty and scholars.
OIS will continue to help International Programs further its commitment to serve and support OSU’s growing and diverse international population and help them flourish on campus, in the community, and around the world.
