The position is focused on Environmental Health/Pharmacology/Toxicology. The idea is to try to expand upon a small, but active group of environmental health researchers at the University and within Pharmacology and Toxicology, and our Center for Human Toxicology.
To summarize, we are seeking applications from people who are interested in disease processes associated with environmental toxicants/agents. We have a specific interest in people with cardiovascular expertise due in part to future teaching needs. However, people who have expertise in neuro, pulmonary, cancer/carcinogenesis are also of very high interest to us since there is a lot of opportunity for synergy among existing faculty. People who use innovative high-throughput technologies (genomics, MS-based omics, alternative organisms) as part of their research program, as well as people who have interests in translational research related to drug/target discovery for environmentally-impacted human diseases are also encouraged to apply.
