Agilyx Corporation is a Petrochemical Manufacturing facility in Tigard, Oregon that collects waste Polystyrene (Styrofoam) which would normally be disposed of in the landfill, and through thermal means convert it back into a styrene monomer which can be used to produce more Polystyrene. The EHS intern position would be more safety oriented, but environmental regulatory issues are also a constant concern. An intern would assist in the following:
- EHS policy and procedure document creation and revision
- Ergonomic assessments of workstations
- IH sampling of area and personnel
- Environmental regulatory review
- Plant inspections and corrective action implementation
- JHA creation and risk analysis
