This means that you do not meet the prerequisites or restrictions to access this course. In the Schedule of Classes look to the columns marked “Restrictions” and “Comments” for the pre-requisites and/or other restrictions for the course you are attempting to register for. The course may be restricted to students enrolled in specific Colleges, specific majors, alpha sectioned (WR 121 or COMM), or class standing. If you have not completed and are not registered for the prerequisite, then you will receive a prerequisite error message when you try to register. You may ask the department offering the course to consider giving you an override for it, which will allow you to register for the course without having first met the prerequisites. If the department declines to give you an override, then you must take the prerequisite in order to register for this course.
