The &#8220;IDV-Magazin&#8221; is the main publication of the Internationaler Deutschlehrerinnen- und Deutschlehrerverband, an organization representing more than 250,000 German teachers in 85 countries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Instructor of music\u00a0<b>Nathan Boal<\/b>\u00a0recently performed Ingolf Dahl&#8217;s Concerto for Saxophone in a reduction for piano and percussion, which is the first performance of the work in this configuration. Boal also performed the Dahl Concerto at the NW Regional North American Saxophone Association (NASA) conference. Boal&#8217;s corrected version of Jindrick Feld&#8217;s &#8220;Suite Rapsodica&#8221; was performed at the NASA region one conference by Hayden Harper. In addition to these performances, Boal also adjudicated at the OSAA State Solo Championship in late April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Instructor of music\u00a0<b>Olin Hannum<\/b>\u00a0recently moderated a panel titled &#8220;Examining Student Leadership Models&#8221; at the College Band Director&#8217;s National Association conference. The panel included directors from the University of California &#8211; Berkeley, the University of Virginia and Oklahoma University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Instructor of music\u00a0<b>Dana Reason&#8217;s<\/b>\u00a0recently composition &#8220;Dueling Ditties for Pointed Percussionists&#8221; was performed on Friday, May 24 in Ashland, Oregon by students from OSU, the University of Guanajuato in Mexico and Southern Oregon University. The program, &#8220;to South &#8211; Celebration de la hermandad,&#8221; was presented in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the partnership between Southern Oregon University and the University of Guanajuato.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Recurring Events<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Little Gallery<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Presents &#8220;Drawing in the Northern Light,&#8221; an exhibit of poems and photographs by <strong>Joseph Ohmann Krause<\/strong>, faculty\u00a0in World Languages and Cultures.
