In early spring, she taught and facilitated two entire days of de-escalation training with volunteer &#8220;Suggestions Only&#8221; improv actors for OSU Public Safety.\u00a0Richards was recently selected for the Humanities\/Honors College internship this summer for her project &#8220;Ways of Knowing Radiation&#8221;. She will also be presenting a workshop at the UBC in Vancouver at &#8220;Nuclear Dialogues&#8221; on UN Technical Experts and Human Rights, June 2, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Professor of Piano\u00a0<strong>Rachelle McCabe<\/strong>\u00a0performed her collaborative program \u201cVariations on a Theme of Extinction\u201d on April 22 at the international climate change conference Climate Change and Consciousness in Findhorn, Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Instructor ofGguitar\u00a0<strong>Cameron O\u2019Connor<\/strong>\u00a0was featured in several events at the Corvallis Guitar Festival on May 11: he and James Bishop collaborated on a lecture-demonstration about 19<sup>th<\/sup>-century guitars and their music. He also directed the\u00a0<strong>OSU Guitar Ensemble<\/strong>\u00a0as the opening act at a concert featuring GRAMMY Award winning guitarist Bill Kanengiser, who performed as both a solo artist and with the guitar ensemble. O\u2019Connor also performed in Portland as part of Kanengiser\u2019s \u201cDiaspora Project\u201d at Portland State University on Sunday, May 12.
