Supported through a partnership with the OSU Office of the Provost, this program offers scholars with expertise in different disciplines the opportunity to explore a topic of shared interest in common and in depth. Submission deadline: Thursday, December 7.\u00a0Program information and submission instructions here.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n Michelle Inderbitzin<\/strong>, Associate Professor in the School of Public Policy, won the 2017 American Society of Criminology Teaching Award. The award<\/a> is a lifetime-achievement award for contributions in teaching criminology. Dr. Inderbitzin was nominated for the award by peers from across the country.<\/p>\n Instructor of Guitar\u00a0Cameron O’Connor<\/b>\u00a0was profiled<\/a> in OSU’s student-written media journal, The Corvallis Review.<\/p>\n Sarah Dermody<\/strong> of the School of\u00a0Psychological Science was the lead author a FDA-funded study published in “Experimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology”\u00a0with colleagues at Brown, Johns Hopkins, UCSF, University of Minnesota, Duke, and University of Pittsburgh entitled, \u201cEffects of reduced nicotine content cigarettes on individual withdrawal symptoms over time and during abstinence.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Dr. Stephanie<\/strong>\u00a0Jenkins<\/b>, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, was featured in an interview with\u00a0Engaged Philosophy<\/i><\/a>\u00a0about her use of interview assignments in philosophy classes and her Ecampus Research Fellowship project.<\/p>\n Dr. Stacey Smith<\/strong>, Associate Professor of History appeared alongside OSU VP Steve Clark on\u00a0Oregon Public Broadcasting\u2019s Think Out Loud<\/a>\u00a0program on (11\/29) to discuss the historical research into OSU building names and President Ray\u2019s naming decisions.<\/p>\n Dr. Rena\u00a0<\/strong>Lauer & Dr. Kevin Osterloh<\/b>, both Assistant Professors of History and Religious Studies were feature in an article in the\u00a0Oregon Jewish Life<\/a>\u00a0magazine about their participation as headliners in the 12th Annual Weekend in Quest coming up March 2-4, 2018, in Astoria, OR.<\/p>\nNews<\/h2>\n
