Assistant professor of philosophy Stephanie Jenkins has created a Kickstarter campaign to fund a documentary based on her summer online course, The Philosophy of Phish, which has received attention online at Billboard Magazine. Jenkins hopes that the documentary can be made so many more people in addition to the class of 25 can access the ideas about “why Phish matters, and what happens when Foucault meets Fluffhead.”

Current Research, Publications and Creative Activity

Assistant professor of sociology Hillary Boudet’s paper, “Energy behaviors of northern California Girl Scouts and their families” was published recently in the online journal Energy Policy.

History professor Michael A. Osborne’s book, The Emergence of Tropical Medicine in France, was recently published by The University of Chicago Press.
