Critical Questions Lecture Series: Associate Professor Allison Hobgood of Willamette University, author of Passionate Playgoing in Early Modern England (Cambridge, 2014) and co-editor of Recovering Disability in Early Modern England (Ohio State, 2013), will present “Poetry, Prosthesis, and Queer-Crip Intercourses in the English Renaissance” in the MU Journey Room, 4 p.m.

Fairbanks Gallery Art — features the OSU Graduating Art Seniors exhibit, showing the work of Savannah Youngquist, Alice Marshall, Daniel Johnson, Darlayne, Buys, Alyssa Elkins and Kusra Kapuler, and opens June 2 in Fairbanks Gallery. There will be a reception for the artist, free and open to the public, tonight, 6:30, p.m. Blick Art Materials, the OSU Bookstore and Peak Sports are sponsors contributing to the event. Scholarship awards will be announced for returning students, freshmen, and transfer students. Spring One-Act Festival 2014– Two alternating nights of student-directed one-acts, varying from silly, metaphorical, romantic, contemplative, and dramatic to downright sexy. Withycombe Lab Theatre. The Oregon State University Chamber Choir, directed by Steven Zielke, will complete its performance season with the tenth annual President’s Concert tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1165 NW Monroe Street. This annual year-end performance is held in honor of OSU President Ed Ray and his late wife, Beth, to honor the couple for a choral leadership endowment fund which they helped to establish. As is tradition, the members of Chamber Choir who are graduating this year will be honored and several awards will be presented. This year’s concert is also dedicated in memory of Beth Ray. Admission is $10 in advance, $13 at the door. Advance tickets are available only online at tickettomato.com.
Awards and Honors
Congratulations to psychology student Andrey Morozov for winning Poster of the Year for the College of Liberal Arts for his project “Associations Between Relocation and Seasonal Depression.” He presented the poster at the annual Celebrating Undergraduate Excellence event with his mentor David Kerr of the School of Psychological Science.
