Thanks to the partnership of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocwcog.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samhealthplans.org\/ihn-cco\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\">InterCommunity Health Network Coordinated Care Organization<\/a> the community bikeshare has arrived to Corvallis, OR. Zagster\u00a9 is operating the share, a company who operates more than 130 programs nationwide.\u00a0<\/em><em>The community bikeshare program is targeted to aid\u00a0Medicaid members for medial appointments and personal trips, but is open to all community members ages 18+.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A community bikeshare adds\u00a0<strong>positive<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2016\/08\/p.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9326 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2016\/08\/p-300x105.png\" alt=\"p\" width=\"300\" height=\"105\" srcset=\"https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/2114\/files\/2016\/08\/p-300x105.png 300w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/2114\/files\/2016\/08\/p.png 706w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>s<\/strong> to the community it surrounds. A bikeshare gets more people on <strong>bikes<\/strong>! Shocking, right? Bikeshares positively impact local <strong>business<\/strong> since riders<br \/>\nincrease their spending in the surrounding areas. Biking promotes improved <strong>health<\/strong>, since biking just 30 minutes a day can reduce the risk of heart disease by 82%! And finally traffic improves.
