{"id":7325,"date":"2015-01-09T15:58:36","date_gmt":"2015-01-09T22:58:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/blog\/?p=7325"},"modified":"2015-01-09T15:58:36","modified_gmt":"2015-01-09T22:58:36","slug":"help-pick-sustainability-highlights-and-innovations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/2015\/01\/09\/help-pick-sustainability-highlights-and-innovations\/","title":{"rendered":"Help pick sustainability highlights and innovations!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sustainability Office is chugging through our Fiscal Year 2014 assessment for the <a href=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/planning-policy-assessment\/stars\">Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System<\/a> <span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong>and we need your help on two items! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">STARS Innovation credits<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Innovation credits report activities that are over and above what is otherwise captured by STARS. \u00a0For a full definition (nerd alert), check pages 308-310 (of 350) in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aashe.org\/files\/documents\/STARS\/2.0\/stars_2.0_technical_manual_-_administrative_update_two.pdf\">STARS Technical Manual<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Past <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right\" src=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/files\/sustainability\/STARS-Seal-CharterParticipant-FINAL_1.jpg\" alt=\"STARS Logo\" width=\"193\" height=\"193\" \/>Innovation examples include Repair Fairs, the sustainability double degree, Collaboration Corvallis and the Sustainable Textiles Symposium.\u00a0 To see details on what OSU has submitted in the past, here are links to each of the past STARS reports (scroll to very bottom for Innovation credits).\u00a0 Due to the amount of data involved, report pages can take a while to load:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stars.aashe.org\/institutions\/oregon-state-university-or\/report\/2011-01-31\/\"><strong>FY10<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stars.aashe.org\/institutions\/oregon-state-university-or\/report\/2013-05-11\/\"><strong>FY12<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stars.aashe.org\/institutions\/oregon-state-university-or\/report\/2014-04-30\/\"><strong>FY13<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The STARS assessments also help produce the <a href=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/planning-policy-assessment\/annual-reports\">sustainability annual reports<\/a> and are used by <a href=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/about\/recognition\">multiple outside organizations to tell us how great we are at sustainability related work<\/a> : )<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Sustainability highlights for FY14 annual report<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Similar to Innovation credits, sustainability highlights have been included in each of our two past annual sustainability reports.\u00a0 Past highlights have included STARS Innovations plus activities or projects like our ground mounted solar arrays, sustainability conferences and special events, program milestones, etc.\u00a0 Unlike Innovation credits, these do not have to be regionally or situationally unique but should be notable accomplishments you think should be known more widely or captured in time.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/planning-policy-assessment\/annual-reports\"><strong>See past highlights at the ends of our two past annual sustainability reports<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please <a href=\"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/cw_tools\/mailto\/BrandonTrelstad\">contact Brandon<\/a> by January 16 with your suggestions for FY14 Innovation credits and\/or highlights. <span style=\"color: #008000\">Thanks for your help and support!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sustainability Office is chugging through our Fiscal Year 2014 assessment for the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System and we need your help on two items!
