{"id":2666,"date":"2012-10-25T15:55:15","date_gmt":"2012-10-25T22:55:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/blog\/?p=2666"},"modified":"2012-10-25T15:55:15","modified_gmt":"2012-10-25T22:55:15","slug":"oregon-higher-education-sustainability-conference-session-proposals-due-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/2012\/10\/25\/oregon-higher-education-sustainability-conference-session-proposals-due-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference session proposals due soon!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohesc.org\/\"><strong>2013 Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference<\/strong><\/a> will take place January 31 \u2014 February 1, 2013 at the Smith Memorial Student Union at Portland State University.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ohesc.org\/img\/OHESC-logo-masthead-web.gif\" alt=\"http:\/\/www.ohesc.org\/img\/OHESC-logo-masthead-web.gif\" width=\"417\" height=\"86\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three important developments have occurred recently.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/ohesc.org\/downloads\/OHESC_CFP.pdf\">deadline for session proposals (PDF)<\/a> has been extended to at least Nov.2.\u00a0 Presentations can be 20, 30 or 60 minutes with 15 minutes of question and answer time in each 75 minute block.\u00a0 If you have questions or are on the fence about submitting a proposal and would like to be connected with someone else at OSU or another Oregon institution to collaborate, <a href=\"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/cw_tools\/mailto\/BrandonTrelstad\">contact Brandon<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>David Kenney has been chosen as the keynote speaker.\u00a0 David has led <a href=\"http:\/\/oregonbest.org\/\">Oregon BEST<\/a>, a non-profit that is a nexus for clean technology innovation and commercialization.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohesc.org\/registration\/\">Conference registration<\/a> is also now open, and the early bird discount is on until Monday, Dec.3!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This year, the conference will include community colleges and private colleges and universities for the first time.\u00a0 The planning team is led by PSU and includes representatives from OSU, UO, OHSU, PCC, Lewis and Clark and others.\u00a0 It will be Oregon&#8217;s most collaborative and comprehensive higher education sustainability event\u00a0 yet!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2013 Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference will take place January 31 \u2014 February 1, 2013 at the Smith Memorial Student Union at Portland State University.
