{"id":275,"date":"2016-10-31T17:34:58","date_gmt":"2016-10-31T17:34:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/differencepowerdiscrimination\/?p=275"},"modified":"2016-10-31T17:34:58","modified_gmt":"2016-10-31T17:34:58","slug":"a-more-educated-educause","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/differencepowerdiscrimination\/2016\/10\/31\/a-more-educated-educause\/","title":{"rendered":"A More Educated Educause"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The higher education IT organization will over the next five years focus on collaboration, personalization and professional development in order to create an experience that is more \u201cinclusive, equitable and simplified,\u201d according to a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educause.edu\/about\/mission-and-organization\/strategic-directions\/2016-strategic-planning\" target=\"_blank\">strategic plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re changing the Educause experience in many of the same ways you\u2019re being asked to change on your campus,\u201d CEO John O\u2019Brien said Thursday to the thousands of IT staffers attending the organization\u2019s annual conference here this week. \u201cWe\u2019ll navigate this future together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The strategic plan is the clearest indication yet of in what direction O\u2019Brien, who became CEO in June 2015, intends to take Educause.
