The Promised One, also called\u00a0Al-Q\u0101\u02beim in the Shi&#8217;a tradition, is a messiah figure told about in holy scriptures.<\/p>\n<p>Mull\u00e1 Husayn\u00a0traveled to Shiraz, Iran where he was approached by a young stranger who invited Mull\u00e1 Husayn to his home. This young man&#8217;s name was Siyyid Ali Muhammad and was a direct descendent of the Prophet Muhammad through the lineage of both of his parents. Mull\u00e1 Husayn told Siyyid Ali Muhammad\u00a0that he was searching for the possible successor to Siyyid K\u00e1zim, the Promised One.<\/p>\n<p>This young man who was only 24 years old, told Mull\u00e1 Husayn that he was Siyyid K\u00e1zim&#8217;s successor and the bearer of divine knowledge. When Mull\u00e1 Husayn described the prophesies of The Promised One,\u00a0Ali Muhammad declared, &#8220;Behold, all of these signs are manifest in me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ali Muhammad then proceeded to explain the meanings of difficult holy teachings to\u00a0Mull\u00e1 Husayn and convinced him that he was the Promised One that Mull\u00e1 Husayn\u00a0had been searching for.\u00a0Ali Muhammad said, &#8220;O Thou who art the first to believe in Me!
