He is one of the few practicing blind architects in the world. With his personal business, Architecture for the Blind, Downey has consulted on the <a title=\"Design Partnership Website for the VA Polytrauma &amp; Blind Center in Paolo Alto, CA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dpsf.com\/vapa-polytrauma.html\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Veterans Affairs Polytrauma and Blind Rehabilitation Center<\/a>\u00a0in Paolo Alto, CA; the <a title=\"Duke University Eye Center Publication featuring the new Clinic\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dukehealth.org\/repository\/dukehealth\/2013\/01\/11\/15\/08\/31\/9017\/150434_1_Vision%20proof.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Duke University Eye Center Clinic<\/a>\u00a0in Durham, NC; and the new <a title=\"Transbay Transit Center website\" href=\"http:\/\/transbaycenter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Transbay Transit Center <\/a>in San Francisco, CA.<\/p>\n<p>During his trip to OSU, Downey will give four different presentations, with the main event on Tuesday May 13th at 6:30 pm in the Linus Pauling Science Center lecture hall.
