17th Annual Salmon Bake

Next week, the Native American Longhouse at Oregon State will be hosting their biggest event of the year – the 17th Annual Salmon Bake! On Friday, May 15th from 12-3pm, there will be free Salmon, entertainment and more. A special thanks to the family from the Warm Springs Tribe cooking the Salmon again this year and to all the volunteers who will make this another successful event!

Later that Friday, don’t miss out on a unique opportunity to learn more about First Nations culture from British Columbia as Laura GrizzlyPaws shares her presentation about grizzly bear protection intertwined with their creation story and bear dance. The presentation will take place in Milam Hall from 5-7pm.

To wrap up the festivities, the 39th Annual Klatowa Eena Pow-Wow will take place on Saturday, May 16th in Gill Coliseum. Don’t miss out on the Native American Student Association’s signature event! The event has a great drum line up to keep the dancers going and lots of great vendors that will be onsite selling various merchandise.

We hope to see you there, go Beavs!
