Congratulations to surgery resident Dr. Sara Losinski who was nominated for the American Humane Society’s Veterinary Hero Award. Her name was submitted by hospital clients Joe and Kathleen Shepard in recognition for Dr. Losinski’s dedication and compassion in the care of their dog Kiko. He had a tumor removed near his elbow and the resulting wound was challenging to keep bandaged and infection free, but Kiko is doing well now.
