Dr. Brian Bowers
Following the recent change in administrative responsibility for the Drug Room, which has shifted from the College of Veterinary Medicine to the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Brian Bowers has been appointed Drug Room Pharmacist. Dr. Bowers has responsibility for Drug Room operations and compliance with DEA and Oregon Board of Pharmacy regulations. He will also assist with instruction of veterinary medicine and pharmacy students.
Originally from the small town of Ridgway, Penn., he received his PharmD degree in 2009 from Duquesne University in Pittsburg, Penn. Dr. Bowers worked for CVS/pharmacy prior to completing a residency program in 2010-2011 at Duquesne University as Clinical Ambulatory Care Resident.
His hobbies are fishing, hunting, soccer, sports, running, hiking, camping and the outdoors in general. “I don’t have any pets right now, but I am looking forward to finding a dog at some point in time!,” he was quoted as saying. He may regret that statement when he is inundated with offers of dogs needing homes!
