On Sunday, June 12, the 29th graduating class of the College of Veterinary Medicine gathered for the ceremony at LaSells Stewart Center. Dean Cyril Clarke welcomed everyone and introduced the members of the platform party: Dr. Becky Warner, OSU Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and International Programs; The Honorable Douglas Whitsett, Oregon State Senate; Dr. Lynda Ciuffetti, State Board of Higher Education member; Dr. Christopher Cebra, Clinical Sciences Department Head and Faculty Speaker; Dr. Tracey McNamara, Professor of Pathology, Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, California and Keynote Speaker; Dr. Susan Tornquist, OSU CVM Associate Dean for Student and Academic Affairs and class presentation; Dr. Laird Goodman, President, Oregon Veterinary Medical Association and administer of the Veterinarian’s Oath; Dr. Luiz Bermudez, Biomedical Sciences Department Head; Dr. Helen Diggs, Associate Dean of Hospital Programs and Director, Veterinary Teaching Hospital; and Dr. Jerry Heidel, Director, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
