John “Travis” Feldsher
Pathology Lab Coordinator
Travis is the new Pathology Laboratory Coordinator who spends most of his time in and around the necropsy laboratory; however, Travis isn’t new to the VDL. During his four years as an OSU undergraduate, Travis worked as a student technician in the necropsy laboratory. He lived in Corvallis while he attended OSU, then relocated for a job outside of Portland after graduating. For the past several years Travis has worked in the ‘Tower’ industry constructing communication facilities, erecting towers and managing sites all over the Pacific Northwest. Now he’s back and says “I enjoy the whole learning mentality of the veterinary college and all the knowledge that surrounds it.”
Away from work, Travis enjoys working on his toys. He says “If it’s got a motor, chances are I’m usually modifying it. Whether it’s a dirt bike, quad, lifted diesel or some modern muscle, I like spending time ‘fine tuning’ everything to make riding/driving them more enjoyable.” On weekends when there is an option, Travis occasionally spends time over on the coast admiring natures beauty’s from atop of a dune. Travis and his wife Becky Jester, aluma of CVM class of 2005, have a 16 month old daughter. He is a very proud father and she has him wrapped around her little fingers. Austynn has flown through the walking stage and is now on to running, climbing and opening things. He knew she was a daddy’s girl from the moment she crawled up on one of his quads and turned the key to the ‘On’ position and then started smiling. Travis, like most people who work in veterinary medicine, also has plenty of pets to keep him occupied, two very sweet dogs (shelter pit crosses), a cat, a pasture ornament (paint horse), one bearded dragon, one boa and some saltwater fish.

Jennifer Eaton
Office Specialist-Veterinary Diagnostic Lab
As an Office Specialist in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Jennifer’s work day is now spent in the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory reception area. She came to the College from the corporate office of Samaritan Health Services. When asked how she likes being at the College she says “it seems like a very friendly, family-like environment.” An Oregon native, Jennifer grew up in Alsea, then moved to the Corvallis/Philomath area where she’s lived since. Jennifer has a 2-year-old son and she and her husband are expecting their second child next November. They share their house with a black lab mix and two 50-gallon fish tanks.
