Birth of a Blog

It was a chilly, March morning, and the sun was shining brightly outside on the grounds of Oregon State University. In Milne Computer Center, a group of students were assigned to create their very own blog.

So, here we are. For your information, this is the very first time I have had a blog, so don’t be surprised if some of this looks very funny!

My morning started out with sleeping through my alarm to find that I had only an hour to get ready for my 8 o’clock class, and I was rushing to get dressed and to be somewhat presentable to the world. I shoved a piece of Kahlua cake in my mouth and drank a chocolate milk as fast as I could, brushed my hair, and put on some make-up. I grabbed my iPod, my backpack, and rushed to Moreland hall for my ENG 104 class. I sat in my desk reading the “Readings for OSU Writers” for WR 121, when one of the students in the class piped up and said,

“He sent us an e-mail at 7:27 saying he cancelled class!”

My jaw dropped. I got up out of my seat, and briskly walked back to my dorm room. For the next half hour, I did my hair, make-up, and I even put on jeans.

You’re welcome, world, I put in some effort today.
