There are also other internships available through the Boys & Girls Club including Fitness intern<\/a>, Kinder Club intern<\/a>, Lion’s Den Classroom intern<\/a>, Science Instructor intern<\/a>, and STARS intern<\/a>.

Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Clubhouse provides a wide variety of programs during afterschool hours including: art, music, computer lab, and athletic activities for school children of all ages. Clubhouse programs feature friendly, energetic and fun staff trained to work with specific age groups, utilizing the Boys & Girls Clubs Youth Development Strategy.<\/p>\n

The Boys & Girls Club has been continuing to promote healthy lifestyles and is looking for an intern to create a Health Intervention program targeted at reducing childhood obesity.<\/p>\n

Duties Include:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Develop, plan, and implement a plan targeted at various age levels and genders that encourages a positive and long-term approach to general wellness and healthy habits.
\n\u2022Encourage parent engagement in the development of healthy habits and behaviors.
\n\u2022Interact with youth and develop positive relationships.
\n\u2022Determine motivators for members and propose a plan of action to engage youth.
\n\u2022Create a measurable system to evaluate number of youth involved in physical activity
\n\u2022Analyze methods used to engage youth in physical activity and evaluate outcomes and purpose changes for future programs.<\/p>\n
