What does your future hold?<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

Let’s say you have a really <\/em>important interview coming up.\u00a0 (This is no doubt because you attended our fall Career Fair and you scored an on-campus interview opportunity!)\u00a0 Anyway, you’ve done your prep work.\u00a0 You’ve prepared a list of strengths and weaknesses, generated your top 5 “success stories” from college, and practiced in front of the mirror til you’re tired of looking at yourself.\u00a0 You waltz into that interview room, and nail those questions.\u00a0 And then the interviewer asks…<\/p>\n

“So, where do you see yourself in 5 years?”<\/em><\/p>\n

Yikes.\u00a0 The one question you didn’t prepare for.\u00a0 You were so focused on what you’ve done <\/em>that you forgot to explore where you’re going<\/em>.\u00a0 You’re so focused on this <\/em>job, that you forgot to plan ahead.\u00a0 This is common, and this particular question can be a tough one.\u00a0 The best answer will differ depending on your industry, but here are some great pointers and some responses you want to <\/a>avoid<\/a> <\/em>when elaborating on your future goals.<\/p>\n
