Over the weekend of March 18-19th, the 2016 College of Pharmacy Annual Rising Retreat was held at Salishan Spa & Golf Resort in Gleneden Beach, OR.\n<\/div>\n

\nAll the attendees of the 2016 Annual Rising Lecture Series and Research Retreat<\/em>\n<\/div>\n
The retreat was attended by OSU College of Pharmacy\u00a0Pharmacy Ph.D. students, Pharm.D. students involved in research, postdocs, and their faculty mentors. Nineteen Ph.D students gave presentations on their research progress.\n<\/div>\n

Keynote speaker, Thomas P. Sakmar, M.D., a biomedical research physician and professor at\u00a0Rockefeller University in New York\u00a0spoke on “Expanding the Genetic Code as a Tool for GPCR-targeted Drug Discovery”.\n<\/div>\n

Students and postdocs also presented posters after dinner on Friday.\n<\/div>\n

\nAttendees and judges got the chance to interact with the grad students as they browsed their research\u00a0posters<\/em>\n<\/div>\n
