During his time at OSU, he was a member of the Kappa Psi pharmacy honorary and Acacia Fraternity. After graduation he served two years in the United States Army. In 1954 he began his career as a pharmacist working at Baker&#8217;s Pharmacy in Eugene, later becoming a partner. In 1958 he also became also a partner in Everett&#8217;s Villa Pharmacy.<\/p>\n<p>Dan was an active member of his community and touched the lives of many who knew him. He was an avid booster and follower of Oregon State sports and a long-time Beaver Club member. He was a lifetime member of the Eugene Elks, Masonic Blue Lodge 395, Central Presbyterian Church and Kader Klowns of Al Kader Shrine Temple. As a Kader Klown, he enjoyed visiting the children patients at the Shriner&#8217;s Hospital as &#8220;McFuzz.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dan passed away February 4, 2013 at the age of 83.
