The OSU/OHSU College of Pharmacy is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to work side-by-side with practitioners from various healthcare disciplines in order to teach the importance of inter-professional collaboration among healthcare professionals. While on rotation at our hospital partner OHSU, Vikki Li (P4) had the opportunity to shadow Long Ong, Nurse Practitioner in Acute Pain services. “I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from great teachers at OHSU. I get a little taste of everything and even had the chance to shadow Long from Acute Pain Services. There, I watched an epidural placement and rounded with the team to see how other services are integrated into a patient’s care. It has been helpful to see how care is managed from different disciplines!”
