White Coat Ceremony, Class of 2019
On September 29, 2015 the College of Pharmacy welcomed the Class of 2019 into the pharmacy program during the annual White Coat Ceremony. The students invited family and friends to the ceremony where they took the Pledge of Professionalism and were “coated” with their first white coat by faculty members. Steve Keen, Corporate Pharmacy Recruiter for Albertsons-Safeway Pharmacy, spoke to the students about the important path they are embarking upon and the impact they’ll be able to make in the lives of their patients. Amy Valdez, ’99, recipient of the 2015 College of Pharmacy Outstanding Young Alumni Award, also spoke to the students about professionalism and the importance of lifelong learning.
