Mark Kantor (’98) Awarded Generation Rx Champions Award at the OSPA Annual Convention

Mark Kantor (’98), Clinical Pharmacist at AllCare Health Management in Grants Pass, was awarded the Generation Rx Champions Award at the 2018 OSPA Annual Convention.
The Generation Rx Champions Award, presented by the Cardinal Health Foundation and NASPA, honors a pharmacist who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to raising awareness of the dangers of prescription drug misuse among the general public, as well as the pharmacy community.
Mark works extensively on the opiate crisis in rural areas of the state and leads the Southern Oregon CCO collaborative workgroup, which was created to coordinate access to pain treatments, increase drug take-back locations and train pharmacists to prescribe naloxone. He is a member of the executive committee for Oregon Pain Guidance, a coalition of healthcare providers who promote best practices in pain management, and participated in the development of Oregon opioid conversion calculator. Mark is also on the board of a community-focused non-profit that provides free naloxone and education about opioid overdose and is trained to administer naltrexone injections to patients with substance use disorders.
