OSU/OHSU College of Pharmacy students networking with companies at career and information fair
On January 18-19, 2017, representatives from 18 corporations and organizations, including retail pharmacy chains and healthcare systems, came to Corvallis to interview our first and second year PharmD students for internship opportunities within their organizations. During those two days, over 600 formal interviews were conducted with some students interviewing with 4 or more companies and many walked away with job offers. In the weeks leading up to Career Days, the college provided mock interview training opportunities and other resources to help students polish and prepare for their internship interviews.
“Overall the opportunity to interact with business professionals at this level is incredibly valuable and will be very helpful when interviewing for pharmacy positions later in our career,” said Josh Miller (P2).
We would like to thank the following companies and corporate partners for their continued support of our students: Albertsons-Safeway, AllCare Health, Bi-Mart, CareerStaffRx, Consonus LTC, CVS Health, Fred Meyer Pharmacy, Indian Health Services, Kaiser Permanente, Klamath Tribal Health Pharmacy, OHSU, QFC (Quality Food Centers), Rite-Aid, St. Charles Health System, Samaritan Health System, ShopKo, Walgreens, and Walmart.
