This event was the grand finale to OHSU’s yearly Health Care Equity Week, a week of volunteer events and guest speakers, geared toward raising awareness about problems with the US health care systems. The Fair provides healthcare services to the underserved populations living in the Portland area – volunteers performed checkups and health exams, distributed personal hygiene items, and helped schedule follow-up appointments for patients. Participants also got a free meal in O’Bryant Square, due to the partnership with the “Potluck in the Park” service.
