Over the weekend of March 18-19th, the 2016 College of Pharmacy Annual Rising Retreat was held at Salishan Spa & Golf Resort in Gleneden Beach, OR.

The retreat was attended by OSU College of Pharmacy Pharmacy Ph.D. students, Pharm.D. students involved in research, postdocs, and their faculty mentors. Nineteen Ph.D students gave presentations on their research progress.

Keynote speaker, Thomas P. Sakmar, M.D., a biomedical research physician and professor at Rockefeller University in New York spoke on “Expanding the Genetic Code as a Tool for GPCR-targeted Drug Discovery”.

Attendees and judges got the chance to interact with the grad students as they browsed their research posters
