Doug Pham (’04) Shares Insights on Working for the FDA

Doug PhamDistinguished alum Doug Pham, PharmD (’04), JD, gave a special presentation to first and second year pharmacy students on the afternoon of Friday, February 22nd as part of the College’s PharmD Enrichment and Professionalism Program (PEPP). Pham currently works on the Regulatory Counsel of the FDA Office of Investigations. His wife Grace (’05), is also an alum of the OSU College of Pharmacy.

During the presentation, Pham introduced students to many opportunities available to pharmacists within the federal government and specifically at the FDA, including project management, involvement in health policy, report and data analysis, and investigation of pharmacy and drug manufacturing practices. He also emphasized how pharmacy training and internships can give new graduates an edge when pursuing job opportunities with the FDA.
