{"id":169,"date":"2012-12-19T22:55:19","date_gmt":"2012-12-19T22:55:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/bbsc\/?p=169"},"modified":"2012-12-19T22:59:58","modified_gmt":"2012-12-19T22:59:58","slug":"survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/bbsc\/2012\/12\/19\/survey\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackboard Instructor Survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In November 2012 the Blackboard Steering Committee distributed a 19-question survey of OSU instructors, faculty and GTA\u2019s designed to find out the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What types of courses are instructors using Blackboard for?<\/li>\n<li>If they are not using Blackboard, why not?<\/li>\n<li>Of those who are using Blackboard, which features do they use, and how frequently are those features used to assess student learning?<\/li>\n<li>How do instructors access technical and user support?<\/li>\n<li>Are instructors aware of the Blackboard Steering Committee?<\/li>\n<li>What comments do instructors have on Blackboard features and potential improvements for Blackboard?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Approximately 340 instructors responded to the survey; they represent a broad diversity of positions from tenured professor to TA\u2019s, as well as emeritus faculty, research staff, administrators and INTO instructors. 91% of respondents use Blackboard; 9% do not.<\/p>\n<p>On-campus, Ecampus and Hybrid courses were well represented in the survey, as were both small and large sections (over 400 students) that used Blackboard.
