Hi everybody,
This is my first blog. What I have learned in this first two weeks is that I like to do all my classes online. This is the second time I have gone to college. I was able to get my Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice online. So that is why I am here to get my Bachelor of Science in Fisheries & Wildlife Sciences. I found out I will have to take a few classes here in Colorado. That will be a little different. I hope the classes I have to take here goes good. I have not been in a real class room since I got out of High School back in 1980. The one main reason I like online learning is I work full time and have a wife and three kids in school. I don’t have time to go to a class room.
That seems to be a common theme among those of us taking online coursework… working, having families! I’m curious about how many online students are “traditional” students – young, single, full-time students? I’m guessing not the majority. Best of luck with your on-site classes… the schedule might be difficult, but I think it may be fun to sit in a classroom for a few courses:)
I am liking online classes overall as well, having also recently gone back to school traditionally. I found out I have to take a couple of classes here in CA as well and I hadn’t considered that might happen, but it will hopefully work out for the both of us when the time comes to take them!
