It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 16th Uppsala Conference on Electron Capture (ECD) and Transfer Dissociation (ETD) and related radical directed dissociation techniques (UPPCON 2020) in Corvallis, Oregon, US from August 9 to August 12, 2020. We hope that you will enjoy both the scientific program and the social activities. They should make for a stimulating and fun atmosphere to learn the latest developments in mass spectrometry!

UppCon, started by Professor Roman Zubarev in 2003, has developed into a major international meeting in the field of electron-based dissociation techniques (e.g., ExD, UVPD) and top-down characterization. The impact of these methods on peptide and protein analysis has been increasingly recognized. This conference provides a venue for speakers from around the world to discuss new insights into radical ion chemistry, the latest developments in methodology and instrumentation, as well as novel applications for biomolecule characterization.

The conference is hosted by Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. Our program will run between Sunday evening on August 9th through Wednesday, August 12th. A poster session will feature additional contributions for in-depth discussion. More information about this year’s conference is forthcoming.
